The typescript and galley proofs of Accounting history; a bibliography, written by Temple University librarian, provides a listing of works written on accounting between 1500 and 1910. The bibliography includes European materials before 1801 unless they were reprinted in America, as well as American printed works, periodicals bibliographies, biographies, and a partial record of manuscript sources and transcripts of accounts. The collection also includes correspondence between Thomas Whitehead and A. Van Seventer concerning printing, publishing and distribution of the bibliography.

Walter Hausdorfer began his library career as a student assistant in the Sullivan Library, Temple Univ. In 1925 he became the Assistant Librarian. After obtaining his library degree at Columbia, Hausdorfer directed the Columbia School of Business Library for 16 years. Between 1946 and 1963 Hausdorfer served as head librarian at Temple Univ. In 1986 Hausdorfer's life work, Accounting bibliography, was finally published. From the description of Papers, 1912-1969. (Temple University Lib...
